After School Arts Group
Thursdays from 15 May


Rural Arts will be running another series of the popular After School Arts Club starting on Thursday 15 May 2008.  It is preferable for young people to attend all sessions but they can come to one or more sessions if it is not possible for them to attend all five.

May - June Programme
15 & 22 May Drawing and painting in the styles of great artists, with Laura Shipley
5 & 12 June Print-making with Hester Cox

June - July Programme
26 June & 3 July Print-making with Hester Cox
10 & 17 July Create bizarre buildings using mixed media, with Jo Howes

Light refreshments (toast, fruit juice, etc) will be available free of charge at both sessions. Please let us know if you child has any food allergies.

Cost of materials included in the fee.

We recommend that young people wear old clothes / protective clothing, as Rural Arts cannot accept responsibility for any damage.

Life Drawing Classes
Saturdays 17 & 24 May, 7 & 14 June


This 4 - week course is open to adults of all abilities. Students will gain confidence in drawing through working from the model, as well as being encouraged to make lively and individual drawings. The course will cover structure and form, and a variety of different materials will be used.

Landscape Painting Classes
Saturdays 21 & 28 June, 5 & 12 July

This 4 - week course is open to adults of all abilities at the Old Courthouse and on location (own transport preferable). Where possible, students should bring an A1 size drawing board and easel.

Yoga
Mondays from 7 April for 5 weeks

For all abilities, a mixture of yoga, aerobics and relaxation for total body fitness. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Qigong
Sunday 18 May

An Oriental therapy combining gentle exercises with breathing techniques, meditation and visualisation to improve the circulation, reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality and enhance the immune system. Suitable for all age groups.
